US Poseidon to be watching from sea to shining sea
To be able to respond and cover down on anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance missions, as well as being one of the first responders in any type of search and rescue or humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions, the scope is huge. As such, the US Navy is now transitioning to the P-8A Poseidon. Rear Admiral Sean Buck, who will be at the Maritime Reconnaissance conference this year, discusses why this aircraft could well be the future for many other nations.
